half-pipe
Snow trail that is built on a slope and whose sides are elevated to a height of 3 to 4 m.
finish area
Area marking the end of the half-pipe run; it is wide and relatively flat so that the snowboarder can stop safely.
start
Start of the run; snowboarders position themselves behind the start line and at the start signal they race toward the half-pipe.
judges’ stand
Stand reserved for the five judges who evaluate specific criteria such as maneuvers with and without rotation, amplitude and overall impression.
